Total Yarding: 506hd

Agents yarded a total of 506hd at Coolabunia this week with prices holding firm in all descriptions. Bullocks sold up to $4.36/kg for $2,100/hd, with bullocks over 600kg selling for $3.50/kg for $2,800/hd. Bulls topped $3.52/kg for $2600/hd. Light cows under 400kg made up to $3.20/kg, 400-600kg cows topped at $3.50/kg, and cows over 600kg topped at $3.10/kg for $2,400/hd.

Feeder & weaner cattle prices sold to very strong competition. Steers under 200kg topped at $5.08/kg for $990/hd. Weaners in the 200-300kg weight range made $5.08/kg for $1,400/hd. In the 300-400kg weight bracket topped at $4.88/kg, and in the 400-500kg+ weight range averaged $3.93/kg for $2,000/hd. Good quality weaner heifers made $3.80/kg. Heifers in the 300-400kg weight bracket averaged $3.51/kg for $1,200/hd. A lovely line of red cow & calf units sold to $2100/unit, with the rest of the units on offer averaging $1,600/unit.
