Murgon Store Sale Market Report 16/12/25

Total Yarding: 326hd

A lighter yarding for the last sale of the year at Murgon, with agents yarding just over 300hd. Money is still strong across most descriptions. Bulls averaged $3.06/kg for $1,200/hd. Light store cows averaged $2.85/kg for $1,100/hd, 400-500kg cows averaged $3.27/kg for $1,300/hd and heavy cows made $3.06/kg for $1,600/hd.

Lighter steers made up to $4.60/kg for an average $4.05/kg. Steers up to 280kg made $5.20/kg for $1,200/hd and averaged $4.75/kg. In the 280-330kg weight range, top money was $5.48/kg for $1,700/hg for an average of $5.17/kg. Feeder steers topped at $5.28/kg for $1,900/hd for an average of $4.66/kg. Heavy steers averaged $5.11/kg for $2,100/hd. Mickey bulls topped at $3.68/kg for $1,100/hd, averaging $3.41/kg. Light heifers topped at $4.30/kg for $1,100/hd, averaging $3.79/kg for $900/hd. A pen of beautiful top quality Droughtmaster heifers topped the heifer market for the day for $4.68/kg at $1,400/hd. Feeder heifers topped at $4.00/kg for $1,500/hd, averaging $3.34/kg for $1,200/hd. Heavy heifers averaged $3.97/kg for $1,700/hd.
